What I've Hired Out/Bought/Splurged On:
- Our wedding party cake
- All my jewelry
- My dress
- Paul's ring (good thing, too!)
- Someone to do my hair and my bridesmaids' hair
- A manicure
- The food (though, at one time I was ready to do it all myself until my reception location required that I go with their catering service)
What I've Managed to Do Myself:
- Making "Save the Dates"
- Designing and assembling 110 invitations (this honestly took about two weeks!)
- Making my veil
- Making a cake topper (which was vetoed by my lovely fiance and will now be displayed at our candy buffet)
- Assembling a candy buffet
- Designing our programs
- Making hair accessories for the bridal party
- Music playlists for the ceremony and reception
- Crocheting a garter to keep and one to toss
- Making a personalized unity candle
What I Have Left to Do (in 2 weeks):
- Assembling programs
- Making 4 bouquets (including mine), 7 boutonnieres, and 3 corsages
- Making bridesmaids jewelry
- Baking and frosting 200 cupcakes (with Heidi's wonderful help!)
- Assembling centerpieces
- Making an aisle runner
- Dressing up the flower girl basket
- Finding something for the ring bearer to carry
- Everyone's make up the day of the wedding (since no one in my family knows how to do their own makeup! Unbelievable!)
With that said, if anyone's willing to come to the wedding early and help with set up, I'm sure it would be much appreciated by my family and future family who will have to handle the final outpouring of my choice to do it all myself.
I also hope to get pictures up soon of all my little details, but we know how well I do on keeping up my blogging, so we'll see how that goes!
